Super September

 Our First Month in First Class!

We have been really busy in first class! We learned lots of new things!! We practiced making patterns in our art and using the pegboards. We made jigsaws and built amazing creations using the sticklebricks and lego, and we enjoyed showing our creations to our friends.

Halloween

 We had great fun the last week before our midterm break. We had three visitors from Senior Infants, who helped us to carve some really scary pumpkins. We got to wear our amazing costumes and had great fun going on a costume parade to the other classes! We loved showing off our costumes and getting to see everyone else's costumes too! We learned all about Oíche Shamhna. We did lots of Haloween art and played The Mummy Game before spending the afternoon watching a movie.

Maths Week

 During maths week, we were super busy in Room 25. We learned all about the number 16 and spent lots of time working on the story of 16. Then towards the end of the week, we were very lucky because Ms. Kilmartin's 4th Class organised a Maths Trail for us in the yard. They helped us answer the questions too!

Space Week!

 We had a fantastic time learning all about the planets and the solar system during space week. We were so lucky because one of the children in fourth class came in to teach us all about them! Then we made our own solar system diagram by matching the planets to their different names. Afterwards, we had great fun making our own space scenes using black paper and chalk!
